Specialized Consultation with Opportunities for Resume Enrichment
(SCORE)
Your Dreams, Your Success
Program Description
The Lumi Radix SCORE (Specialized Consultation with Opportunities for Resume Enrichment) program provides graduates and young professionals an opportunity to enhance their training experience by working with a dedicated mentor from either industry or academia. Depending on the nature of the activities – observerships, internships, research electives, project consultations, SCORE engagements can be conducted online, onsite, or in a hybrid format.
SCORE projects are structured to allow participants to gain relevant consultation, experience, and expertise needed for the next best career moves. Participants will create an individualized professional development plan with their mentors, who will provide guidance and equip them with the right resources for success.
Admission Qualifications
SCORE Program: Aspirational graduates (speciality courses) and professionals who are looking to add or enhance their skill set in certain unique areas may participate in SCORE programs. Candidates must be enrolled or completed college education. If no longer enrolled in an institution, candidate must submit a degree to verify credentials.
SCORE Programs enrollment is competitive. Candidates must show reasonable ability and experience required to benefit from these projects. One important component of SCORE applications is a written personal statement describing your life/career goals and desired benefits from these programs. The personal statement, along with your resume, will be evaluated by an appropriate committee before pairing with a mentor.
The SCORE program timelines are determined by the mentor’s availability and the host institution’s policies and requirements (if applicable). The best estimates for the format, tentative schedule, duration of the project, and time commitment requirements are posted for each mentorship project, along with the tentative time commitment required by a candidate.
Mentees must commit to the same level of commitment as their mentors while participating in any Lumi Radix Program. Student commitment should include sincere engagement, punctuality, and preparation with pre-read project assignments. Lumi Radix Mentorship Programs are meant to be privileges extended to nurture aspiring students, and the student’s effort alone will determine the benefits a student can derive from these programs.
